...on, have to press accelerator? for 2-3 mins. for the car to stop from stalling, but once you do this the car will remain on. Last Friday I discovered a clicking noise that sounds like it is coming from the belt on the right front side, but the sound goes away after a few minutes. I was recently down 2 qts. of oil and I'm not sure for how long, but immediately added oil. The check engine light is on, but it did so last year, but went away. Last year the car did the same thing (wouldn't start without pressing accelerator), and it was suggested that I turn the key on and off a few times and press on the accelerator without starting the motor and I did this for a few days and the problem and the check engine light went away for a year. Is it the time of year (beginning of summer) that causes this? Is it the timing belt? Do timing belts make a warning clicking sound before they go out? Is it from being down 2 qts. of oil? I tried fuel injection cleaner, but didn't work. Now I'm going to try a new air filter, Slick 50 in the oil, and disconnecting the battery cable. Please help.
