99 Civic, 120K miles on it, is a no start... it cranks but does not fire up.It Died while driving and towed to a shop. Timing belt is good. The Mechanic found that the plugs are getting fouled because it's pumping too much gas in there for it to spark properly. So far, we have changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the Coolant temp sensor. It's still spraying gas like a fire hose and not starting. What else could the problem be here? I'm not a mechanic, just going off of what he is telling me. but there is no harm in getting a second opinion here.
should also make mention that we took out some of the gas, and it's good. and the fuel pump is functioning.
no check engine light was triggered. it turns on then back off like normal when you turn the key on.
