Great information and I think these are exactly what is needed. My issue is that I have limited to no experience in this area. I can follow instructions and can look at and understand how things work. I do not have access to the shop manual on this and do not understand what you people are talking about when you say "Quick connects".

Are these lines connected to anything INSIDE the tank? Is there any way I can get a description of the setup or a link to a shop page illustrating what I am dealing with. I can not afford the dealer gold to repair my 97 Ultra EFI. I would be willing to try this repair myself. Or if anyone knows a good Harley mechanic to do the job for me in the Dallas/ Ft Worth/ Grapevine area let me know.

Thanks
Mike

Mike, the 'quick connects' are where the line connects to the tank, on the outside. You pull up on the outside of the fitting, and the line pulls out from the center. You need to pull the fuel pump fuse first though, and start the bike and let it run until it dies. If not, fuel will spray every where when you disconnect the line.

Let me understand, this quick disconnect on the outside of the tank is the female part and the fuel punp and inside part is the male portion of the quick connect? Where is the "O" ring everyone talks about replacing, on the male of female portion?

Sounds like I do not need to remove the pump from the inside of the tank to replace this "O" ring??!!

Thanks
Mike

M&M system does not have quick connects, they are screwed into the tank. The Delphi system uses the quick connect.
The M&M fuel connects can't be rebuilt and must be replaced. (It's expensive.)

Wrong cuda, all the way from 95 to 99.

Note: Just check out this thread. http://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/363004-fuel-leak-on-99-fuel-injected-rk-3.html

I had the exact same problem with my '99 RK. Seems to be a common problem. The HD lines will cost you almost $200 EACH! J&P Cycles has this for $160 for BOTH.

Easy to replace. I replaced mine 8 months ago.

Here is my 97 Ultra line inputs. The left line has the allen scew "red" lock tight on it and can be seen. Both lines leak. Can I just replace the "O" ring as some suggest or must I get the replacement lines? Do not understand how all this works.

Thanks
Mike
