I have a V8 99 Dodge Durango SLT and today as I was sitting in traffic it started to overheat. When I got going again the temperature went down to normal. After I got home I left it running and popped the hood, all the belts and everything was going fine but it started to overheat again. Anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

I had the same problem. It can be your thermostat not registering to your fan that the temperature needs to be cooled down. I would check that. It's cheap and easy to replace.

Most likely a radiator problem, low coolant, damaged thermostat, take it for service before you crack a cylinder head and then your in real trouble.
