What are my options in regards to my inoperable car which license plates expired, and the ignition key is lost? (Even if I got a key made I cant move it!) I don't want to junk it because its worth more than the $200 or so dollars they will try to give me (and they can make thousands on this car). It needs a engine, and I haven't had time to shop around for prices or even really decide if I can use it as a trade-in (you know those places that say 'push, pull, or tow your old car in'). But obviously time has run out on me. It in my apt parking lot and I just got a ticket because I forgot it expired on my bday in June.

I would rather not get rid of it because of sentimental reasons (The 1st car I bought and paid for myself!!) plus the body is in MINT condition. It so Cleannn.

P.S. I dont have insurance on it, because I don't drive it and that a waste of money (plz don't lecture on having insurance) so I can't get license plates. I currently have out of state plates and I could eventually get a new sticker... But that could take awhile thru snail mail and they want the remedied by Monday July 13!

So I need a place to keep it, store it, and or tow it temporarily (or whatever else you can think of to get if off the premises for now) until I can break away from life and do something with it.

Any suggestions will be great.

Thanx in advance.

i would look through the phone book and check out garage to store cars or even storage units that are big enough to store cars. you will have a monthly payment usually.
