98 van clubwagon ford, will it last?

I have a 98 club-wagon Ford v10. This van has accumulated 316,000 miles, but I just replaced the engine(which cost me $6,000) about 8 months ago. Tomorrow I am going to replace the Master Cylinder which will cost me $400 because brake fluid is leaking which can ruin my firewall over time.. The transmission cuts in and out and will need to be replaced which will cost another $2,000 in the future. The reason I put money into this vehicle is because it was given to me as a gift. It is still in great shape on the outward appearance.
My question is since I replaced the engine, instead of buying a new vehicle(which I cannot afford right now), and will replace the master cylinder and transmission, isn't the van basically brand new almost now?

What are your professional thoughts and advice.

You have a new motor and gear box, but the rolling chassis is still old. You need to check your shock absorbers, your swing arms, your wheel alignment, axles, steering rack master cylinder for your brakes and your ball joints. Once the rolling chassis has been checked over and fixed up to match the motor you'll have a great car.
 
v10? nice! sounds like the only thing you havent replaced on that van is the driveline and steering and suspension system. haha
 
With the money you have put into this vehicle, you would be foolish not to keep it for at least another three years. The amount of money put into it, clearly indicates you have had all your work done at a Ford dealership, which there is absolutely nothing wrong with, as long as you don't mind paying. Remember, you are getting FORD technicians installing FORD parts as well as a parts and labour warranty for the money.

In answer to your question, short of replacing any driveline components, yes your vehicle is almost as good as new. Other than the usual routine ball joint replacements as well as brakes, you shouldn't have any further issues. At that high of mileage, I would be changing the rear diff fluid definitely too.

Look on the bright side. At least yours is a V-10 which drives like a racecar! It could be worse. It could be an E-series equipped with a 6.0L diesel. If that were the case, $6,000 could easily turn into $12,000! Trust me on this one. Hope this helps.
