I have a 1998 Pontiac Firebird that is having some issues. The most important issue is that the headlight motors are not getting any current when I turn the light switch on or off. A few weeks ago they worked just fine (there was a side issue with one of the motors so I removed and repaired it). During this repair I toggled the headlights on then off multiple times throughout the day for diagnostic purposes and they worked. Towards the end of the day I noticed that there was no longer any power going to the motors (doubled check via a multimeter), no growling or humming, nothing. All fuses inside and under the hood are good. My solders are good too. I tried disconnecting the negative battery lead for 15 minutes, then reconnecting it to no avail.
I am having two other issues with the car/ electrical system, these occurred months before the headlights stopped receiving current/ responding.
The curtsey lights fade right after the door is closed; they no longer have a ~ 45 second delay.
Also
The curtsey lights do not turn on when the key is removed. I performed a resistor bypass a few years ago and it works great. The Body Control Module still dings when the lights are kept on, or if the key is left in the ignition. I have removed the BCM in the past and the circuitry looks good (its really hard to tell just by looking at it though)

I need some knowledgeable opinions about these problems. I am mechanically and electrically inclined, so I would appreciate details to help me track down and repair them. These problems have thrown me for a loop; I’ve spent many many hours trying to fix them.
I just checked the Haynes manual. The electrical diagram for the headlamp door system does not appear to have a fuse box behind the switch.

I dont think the switch is worn out, it operates normally (aside raising the headlights)
