Okay, so I am looking into getting new speakers for my car, but then I realized that I don't really know what to look for. It's a 98 Jeep Cherokee - It already has aftermarket speakers, but I have no clue what they are because they were in the car before we bought it. Anyways, I want some speakers that sound like speakers in a newer car. I am not really looking for anything too obnoxiously loud, but definitely something that has good bass. And by good bass, I mean really kick-@ss bass (But not so much that it makes the lyrics suck). Right now, I have a Dual XDMA6635 Head Unit Here are the specs (# RMS power output: 18 watts x 4 channels
# Peak power output: 60 watts x 4 channels) I don't really know what that means, but I think it matters. Would it be better and cheaper if I were to just get a single sub (my friend suggested that), or to get new speakers? My price range is $50-$150 (maybe $200 MAX). So could somebody please give me an idea? I would prefer something cheap, but of good quality. I know that if I ask a store about it, they'll be like, "OH yes, BUT you need to purchase this, this, and that... $654. Debit or Credit?"
