I changed my reservoir tank since it had a crack in it. my car one day started to overheat. i changed the the thermostat. still overheated.mechanic said it wasnt head gasket or water pump. i got the sensor and switch put those in, my air is running much better. but now it just bubbles over just not as much as it did, What could be the problem?

the radiator cap is an important part of the cooling system people often overlook, it needs replacing too every few years. It is pressure sensitive and when the coolant gets too hot and expands the cap lets coolant out into the overflow, on the other side, when the engine cools down, the coolant contracts, and the cap lets the radiator suck the coolant back into the radiator until its full. So if the system is working correctly, the radiator is full in the morning when everything is cool.

Welcome!

I gather you have a 3.8 Liter?
Head problems are a problem with this engine.
Are the cooling fans coming on?
There is not much you can do to simple fix the overheating except a head job with Felpro Blue seal gaskets. Too, have the heads checked at a machine shop for cracks.
