98 Cadillac Deville Question.....Expert Advice ONLY Please?

After my car heats up to normal operational temperature, it will cut off occasionally when I come to a stop. If it does not cut off, at times it will sputter like it wants to cut off. Here's the thing, whenever I have my AC on, it doesn't do either. What can this be. Thanks in advance for your input.
good input mikey, now what is IAC?
 
Could your IAC. That varies the idle according to engine load at idle. It compensates for a/c and/or power steering inputs.
