I have a 98 Buick Regal. A few weeks ago, my check engine light came on. I took it to the mechanic and they ran the diagnostic test on it. They didn't see anything really wrong with it, so they reset the light. A few days later it came on again, which they said it probably would. Now about 2 weeks later I noticed my Security light was on. I didn't have any trouble starting my car. I turned it off, and back on without any trouble. Now I do have a remote starter, which I've had without any trouble for about 6 months. Any idea if the two lights being on are related? or what could be causing the security light?
