My husband has a 97 corolla, that just quit running out of no where. The car has no fire. The coil was checked, replaced the ignition control module, and still nothing. A previous question i posted someone said to check the crank positioning sensor, however someone else told him if the crank positioning sensor was bad then the fuel pump wont work. The car is getting good fuel to the fuel rail. I am having a really hard time finding any info about this C.P.S. We can't afford another $80 if it isn't the CPS. The car has been down for about a month now and this sharing a car is starting to be a real problem for us and our jobs. Any suggestions would be great! Really confused???

Not sure why the crank positioning sensor would cut the fuel off ?
You can buy a cheap code reader fo 40.00 if it is electrical it should show up
Causes for no spark
1.coil
2. ignition module
3.crank shaft sensor
4.pick up coil (inside distributor)
5. distributor cap
6.lose electrical connector
7.Blowen fuse (check all fuses cab fuses and engine fuses)
8. Bad oil pressure switch
9.Broken timing belt (pull distributor cap have someone crank the engine the rotor inside should turn)
10.Bad computer
