97 honda accord water temp.?

So I was wondering if anyone can help me with this little problem. Ive just changed out my radiator and thermostat. Well ever since then I have been losing water there is no leak and when I idle the temp rises above the half but then when I gas it, it drops back to normal. The water pump has been changed over a year ago, anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?? Thanks
 
Did you bleed the air out after refilling? There is a bleeder valve near the thermostat. You crack it open and wait until the bubbles stop then close it again.
 
If it's loosing coolant and theres no leak then you might have a headgasket problem. You would probably notice though. your temp rises when you are stopped because your fans probably aren't coming on. then when you get moving the wind from driving cools the radiator.
