I have a 97 dodge neon that has been nothing but trouble since I bought it in July. Last month, I got it inspected and had to fix the tire rod ends and the front motor mount (it was cracked and the radiator was pushing against the frame of the car ready to break at any moment). Now, my transmission fluid is leaking in massive amounts. What are my possibilities of what this could be? I'm planning to get under the vehicle today and look and see... I'd just like to get an idea of what I'm looking for before I crawl under it.
I haven't run over anything or went in dirt... also, it smells burnt.

if u have ran over something or went down a dirt road u may have a whole in your trani. pan or if it is really cold where you live it may have a crack in the pan or the dipstick may b lose

DramaQueen, if your transmission is leaking from a crack or such, you will be leaving puddles of red fluid where ever you park. If there are no puddles or drips on the ground, and your fluid is just disappearing, it is being sucked into the engine and burned. This is very rare, but possible. If you have a burned smell, you need to go to a transmission shop, as the transmission is self-destructing.

Do NOT jack up the car and get under it. The car can drop on top of you and that will be the end of you. SPLAT. You can see everything that you need to see from the front of the car.

Regards,
Dan

Before you get under it. Blast under it at your local car wash ( car warsh if you're in Texas ) to get rid of the grime & help you see fresh leak(s).
