'97 Chevy Cavalier, major vibrating when i go over 40. Problem??? Read Small Details.?

'97 chevy cavalier 2DR coupe. I live in maine, theres some snow on the ground now, but nothing major. No snow build up in the rims of the car, some in the treads of the tires though. Could my tie rod ends be going??? Vibrates at 40, gets harder at 50, shakes rapidly at 60.
that would make sense. My left rear is gettin bald, and my righ front is medium...every tire has different amount of tread.
 
Tires probably. Had similar sounding problem with my car. Guy road tested it and said immediately that tires would fix it. Had my doubts, but he was right after he put on a new set.
