...light it on. What could it be? We had lowered both front windows, then when we went to put them up they would move. At the same time this happened, the ABS dash light came on and the heat stopped blowing. Given that all the things happened at the same time I think they are connected. All fuses check out. Any thoughts?

The problem is that it's a Chevy Blazer.

I have a 1998 that has had just about every major (and some minor) system on it go bad at one point or another. Especially electronic systems.

All of the things you mentioned are controlled by computer chips. I had the problem with the power windows once and I took it into the dealer 3 times before they could duplicate the problem. They finally just replaced the chip that controlled the windows and it started working again.

Same thing with the windshield wipers. If I put them on wash, the water would come out. And, instead of shutting down after about 5 passes, they would stay on until I shut the engine off. If I was driving down the freeway when it happened, I would have to speed up to about 75 MPH, put the car in neutral, shut off the engine, start it back up, and put it back in drive just to get them to stop. And, replacing the electronic chip that controlled it solved the problem.

I don't know how much it would cost to replace these circuits, because it was all done under warranty. But, it's probably not cheap. Good luck. And, you should now know not to buy a GM vehicle again.
