96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Idles low and kills itself in gear.?

As long as I keep the rpms up, there isn't a problem, but whenever I let off the gas, it dies. I've been told to adjust the idle screw, but I can't find it anywhere, and if that doesn't work, what else could it be? I just replaced the serpentine belt, the battery died if that helps, and also it has no catalytic converter currently, what should I do to fix this?
 
No Catalytic convertor is the problem, the computer is telling the engine to lean the fuel down because there is too much in the exhaust stream.
