96 Honda Accord Rattles from Center of Vehicle?

It could be the heat shield that covers the catalytic converter. They usually just tack weld them in place. I had the same thing happen with my Honda Civic, and finally just yanked it off (and was sure to only park where I wouldn't catch anything on fire).

I took my car into Monro Muffler to replace the muffler/exhaust. After a couple months the car developed a rattling noise when traveling > 60 mph from the center of the vehicle, below the gearshift. Any ideas on what specifically is loose?
