96 Ford won't start, Died after engine stuttered?

1996 Ford F150 had a stuttering engine. Vehicle would not accelerate and eventually worked down to first gear where it died. I started it again and drove it until it sputtered out.

Vehicle will turn over, has great fuel pressure past the fuel filter, engine stating it's running lean, has been stating this for 2 months. Got spark at the brand new spark plugs.

Any ideas?
 
have your coil pack checked, maybe its firing at the wrong time. is your check engine light on? have someone check it for you if you can't get the truck to autozone where they can check it for free. you can get a computer to check it yourself at wal-mart if you want to spend about 100 bucks on it
