96 dodge intrepid starting issue.. ?

thanks to all for youe valuable info... this morning , i notice there white powder like material around the positive terminal of the battery.. any idea what is that ,, could that be causing my issue and how can i get rid of it cus it looks like if i clean it up it will keep building up again
 
its corrosion and yes it could cause your problem,clean it off with a wire brush and put some grease on it afterwords,the grease should keep the corrosion away.
