Recently I did the upper and lower intake manifold gasket on my motor due to a moderate coolant leak. Ok Here's some background. Before the intake job my s10 started up and idled ok but when u drive it for the first ten miles you would press the gas light and the truck would get up and go fine if you press it to the floor it bogs right down and sputters and wants to stall. After it gets warm it's fine u can stomp it all day and it's right there. Now after the intake swap the erg tube got damaged and the timing got thrown off so the truck wouldn't start. After retuning piston number one to tdc on compression we set the dist at number one turned the key and she fired right up. Ran rough for a bit then evened out. Took it for a quick test drive and it was running Werid. The motor wants to die when it's in gear and when u come to a complete stop it wants to die and puffs back through the intake. Also somtimes when its idleing it will start to race and then steady then race then seadyToday i was able to salvage a used erg tube from a chevy 4.3. After installation I started the truck and there was little to no change. I looked for fluid, listened for noises, looked for vac hoses,looked for anything unplugged, rechecked my work and nothing. I'm at a complete loss as to what else to do..I have pretty much all the parts I need from a junk rig....where do I start?
