95 Toyota Corolla headlights/battery?

I want to know if 95 Corolla headlights go off by themselves after a few minutes, because the other day I left the switch on the whole night, but everytime i try starting the car it works fine. I'm still kind of scared to use it, because i don't want it to die on while im driving or something. So does anybody know if they turn off by themselves? thanks.
 
no they dont. from 93 97 corolla the LE model if you leave the swith on when you are inside the car and open the driver side door the lights will go off. but if you have the xe model if you leave them on the battery will die.so you have to turn them off before leaving the car.
or it might turn off by themselves if the alarm is connected to that option
