Hi. i recently got a kawasaki 900 zxi from a friend of mine. He was giving it away for free because he thought it didnt work so i fixed and and got it running (BTW it sat for ten years in MA). Over the summer my CDI box went and have been waiting to get a new one. My friend has an 1100 zxi and has been having troubles with the engine. He keeps on telling me that i should get rid of the old girl because the kawasaki triples stink. I honestly like it cause its a good beater. But i am just wondering what you guys think of these engines.
Also before he started telling me about engine problems ive been looking to upgrade this jet ski. Ive been looking into either an intake grate with a new ride plate or some sponsons. Id rather have the intake grate and ride plate because it increases performance instead of only handling. But i just to know if the intake grate and ride plate make a noticable difference and if it is the best aftermarket upgrade for cheap money. Thanks
