95 honda civic engine care?

im about to buy a 95 honda civic,
its not in the best shape and will just be a car to play around with and to kinda teach myself about cars i guess.
what are some simple things i can start with to put it in a little better shape and to keep it running?
is there a website i can go to that will help/teach me about this stuff?

If you do not know how to keep the Civic running, buy a car in better shape. There is no web site that can teach you how to be an auto mechanic.
