miles per hour? I have a 1995 Honda Accord LX with a four speed automatic transmission. When I first start driving the engine will be turning at 2300 rpm's at 70 mph. As I continue driving the rpm's will gradually increase to 3000 rpm's at 70 mph. If I stop for a short time and then resume driving it will remain at 3000 rpm's, but if I park it overnight it will return to the 2300 rpm's and gradually increase to 3000 again. My motor (2.2L) has 228,000 miles and the transmission was rebuilt at around 170,000 miles. Any suggestions as to why it does this?????
