I have a '95 Buick Century with the 3100 V6. I recently changed the intake gaskets due to them failing as it seems is all too common with the 3100 engine. After replacing the gaskets and doing a complete radiator flush the engine is now losing coolant and running hot. Also after driving there is a strong coolant odor coming from the hood seeming strongest on the passenger side. I have looked over all of the hoses and not found any leaks. there was a loose clamp on the lower radiator hose but even after tightening it the coolant loss did not stop. I also replaced the radiator cap at someone else's suggestion which has not resolved the problem. I keep checking the oil for contamination but it stays clean and there is nothing noticeable coming from the exhaust which I would assume at the rate it loses coolant I would think would be very prominent if leaking into the cylinders. The temp guage also climbs to the mark just below the red line but then will drop back down to the "normal" level as per my experience with other cars using this engine. Thermostat was replaced when I changed the gaskets. Any other thoughts, anything I am missing?
