94 ford thunderbird shift problem?

i have a 94 ford Thunderbird. the transmission has a problem with it. when i drive down the road it seems to shift in a way high gear and i have to really give it gas sometimes to get it to shift back down to accelerate. also at 35 mph or 70 mph it seems like it jerks a little while driving, almost like somebody is nudging the car.. plz help
 
Sounds like its never had the fluid & filter changed....... take it to a quick lube outfit and ask them whether or not their service includes flushing the converter. If it doesn't keep going.
 
do easy fixes. change all fluids. maby as simple as put in transmission fluid. or if it is a manual maybe press clutch harder and make smoother shifts..
