I'm trying to remove the shifter in a 94 ford ranger p.u. I removed the boot and have to remove the "slip bolt" to pull the shifter out of the trans. I removed the nut, put it on the other side (as manual says is procedure) and tightened- but the bolt won't budge. I'm putting so much pressure on it I'm scared I might break it! What is the secret to removing these "slip bolts"? Thank you!
