...be the problem? I have a 93 Honda Accord LX automatic. As I sat idol after I started it I heard a click click. I looked up an noticed that the D4 was lit up. Keep in mind, I was in park. I turned the car off, put my key in the unlock slot on the gear shift in hopes to correct the issue, and restarted my car. Again, click click with the D4 light on. I had to get home, so I put it in reverse and the D4 light stayed on. I drove to the auto supply store thinking that the transmission fluid might be low. My car was a little slow when I accelerated. It seemed like it wouldn't shift to the next gear. Couldn't figure out where to check the fluid and so I got on the computer. Which led me to thinking that the Automatic Transmission Control Unit might be going out. Is this something that I can take to a mechanic and have him hook it up to diagnose? Auto-zone says that they can't help since my car is so old. I didn't get any results with the paper clip trick and counting the flashes that they suggested. Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
