About 3 months ago, my engine light came on during a long ride home (30 miles), but my engine did not act any different at all, and after letting it sit for a couple of hours, it did not turn on again.
Then through the next month or so, the light would turn on on long trips, and the engine would sputter and stall sometimes when I was at low RPMs, and even cut out a few times when I was stopped or close to stopping, but the light would always stay off after a few hours of rest.
Now sometimes the engine stalls for a second, and the light comes on, but I have enough time to press the gas and stop it from cutting out. But tonight on my way home, it just cut out with no warning as I was going down a hill (at low RPMs), so now im really concerned.
I changed the spark plugs last week, but obviously with no results.
I think it might be the fuel pump, but I have also heard it could be the vacuum system. Any help?
