9242 Rent vs Buy

Right now when you Move you are entitled to a Free installation at your new house of Dish and all required switch's etc to provide outlets for all receivers on your account. This does NOT include free lines to each receiver, just the required outputs at the Switch's. You will get 1 receiver installed free, either an SD or HD PVR, your choice.

This could change by the time you move but it has been in place for a long time, so I would expect it to continue.



They are only supplied free of charge if you do not have HD reception.

I have gone into big box stores in the past with neighbors and we explained that we needed the upgrade kit, we had mixed success. The big box store has no idea what programming you receive. In fact I am not even sure a Bell Worl would know your programming....
 
Looks like BB does sell the 9242-S package with the dish and related hardware included! I was at one of the stores today but the guy on the floor couldn't sell me one because the Bell IRIS system was down:(
I guess that is used to pre-activate the receiver:confused:
At least I know I can get what I want and he will drop $100 from their sale price of $499 once the system comes back up:D
