The van runs fairly well until I take it off of the interstate. It wants to die when I have to bring it to a complete stop. It will stall and then start right back up. It is almost like the idle is too low? It is a 360 v8 5.9L with about 110,000 miles on it. I recently bought it and changed the oil and the filter, and the air filter. Any help would be great!

have the computer scanned on it chances are you,ll get a code for a bad throttle position sensor or idle air control valve on it stopped up,if nothing comes up on the computer have the fuel pressure checked also low fuel pressure will cause that too happen also and so will a bad set of spark plugs, even a clogged air filter will cause the stalling condition your having or a tcc switch sticking in the transmission, the idle is controlled by the computer on that one, good luck
