I have a 92 chevy cavalier and when i try to start it the key won't even turn. It worked fine last night.. It's manual and its in 1st, i've tried turning the steering wheel but its locked. Is there anything i can do myself to fix it?
Turn the steering wheel to different position while trying to turn the key at the same time. It is commonly solved in this procedure on those cars. If not, you can get a new ignition or break off the key part and use a screw driver as a key.
I used to have a Chevy Cavalier. And the same problem. Make sure it's in park and keep playing with the thing until it turns. Move the steering wheel around at the same time. It should turn eventually.
