I have a 92 Buick Century the first problem i had was my car was bucking like it was running out of gas then it would stall then 15 mins later it would start again. Then 15 mins it would do the same thing. I took it to get fixed and turns out it was the crank sensor.
3 months later it's doing the same thing but this time the check engine and the temp light will flash and the car would buck. Just last night i took it to the store and it did it again the flashing of the temp and engine
light and the bucking. After 2 mins or so it stopped no more bucking and no more lights flashing. I didn't take it for a ride yet i was wondering what is causing this to happen. Thanks-Shawn

It could be that the gas filter is clogged or you've a bad air filter or that the ignition coil is cracked or internally shorting out or that the wires that run to crank sensor are burnt or the wires that feed the ignition coil are faulty or frayed or faulty connections to the crank sensor are causing intermittent currents that end up blowing out the crank sensor.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way even a loose battery post connection or faulty connections on the starter or ground can cause such problems but one thing for sure is those are very common to have faulty ignition coils "make a chart diagram up for the ignition coil and the spark plug wires , unbolt it and visually check the housing for cracks ,bulges, dis-colouring", plus that age of a vehicle is bound to have bad electrical connections that need a good cleaning and keep in mind that fuel filters should be replaced on a yrly basis.
