'92-'99 Chevy Transmissions?

I need to find out which 5 speed transmissions go in 1992-1999 3/4-1 ton Chevy trucks (350, 454). Thanks.
This information isn't for me. A 50 year old cowboy that I work with asked me if I could find out what it needs. He said there are four different ones that can go in them (GetRag, NV 4500, MT-8, or Muncie). I don't know what any of that means, I'm just trying to figure out which ones go in which years.
 
I believe it is a turbo 400. go to a junkyard in your area and pick one up for 200 bucks at the most
