'91 chevy corsica stalling only after I hit highway speeds and then come to a stop...?

The car runs fine in town. Whenever I take it out on the highway and then have to come to a stop it stalls. If I restart right away and put it in gear it will stall again.

Once I let things dissipate for a minute or two I can restart and drive again with no problem until I take it out on the highway again...

Any ideas what it might be?
