90 Toyota celica vs 89 Mustang gt?

Celica is a 4 cylinder manuel and stock...and the mustang is a 5.0 h.o.. headers and H pipe exhaust. everything else is stock on it.
I have the mustang.. my buddies been talking some smack about being able to beat me..
what do you think?
i think i'll smoke him. lol
i have the Mustang...lol. he has the celica
 
Mustang hands down....if he is talking smack then there is only one way to settle that...race. Find a very discreet country road (during the day) and race him, winner has bragging right, but to be fair have a 40 run race and a dig race.
 
The Mustang will beat you....by a long stretch. It comes down to output. Your Celica has to be a 1.8Litre or 2.0, and you said your buddy has a 5.0 under the hood suggesting its an 8 cylinder. Sorry dude just throw in the towel.
