8900 on 2/11

I called the customer support and got to talk to a very knowledgeable and friendly rep. He told me with my upgrade I would get it (after rebates) for $199 (minus taxes, etc.) next week on the 11th! I can't wait! I have the 8320 right now and I think it's great. I paid $250 for my 8320 a year ago, and only $200 for the 8900? Wow. Can't beat that!!! I have been a customer since 2003, anyone think I should try and ask them to give it for cheaper ?
 
That is the Full upgrade price for the 8900. You did well. But, you might be able to have them give you those rebates as instant discounts right now. Congrats on the new 8900
 
damn lucky you guyz i called they said i only get a 89 dollar discount or 79 phone was still in teh fives if i was to order it soo i have to wait for them craigslisters lolz
 
That's because the price you're getting is the partial upgrade. It's like 70 bucks. I am using someone else's full upgrade that's on my account since they don't use theirs. Then I get to reuse my full upgrade in 10 months if they come out with something better

It's ridiculous. My number only gets the partial upgrade right now and when I go to view the current upgrades, all of the BB's are in the 450+. It's essentially MSRP. Outrageous.
 
I wasn't due for a full discount, but I asked for the Loyalty Dept and the gave me the full discount and instant rebates applied now. Just can't get it until release day.

They can give you instant rebate? Do you think they can do that at a retail location? I prefer to buy it at a store because I get RIGHT away. And it makes for an easy return if something happens in the 2 week period.

I do not think retail stores would even think about giving you that deal. I spoke to a special dept to get a better deal because I have been with TMO for 7yrs. Returns and exchanges from C/S are VERY easy.

Another note about the rebates. You only get to use one once a year, so I told them that my upgrade was less than a year ago and they would not honor a rebate. The C/S rep said he would apply it now. That's how I got that deal.
 
I have been with Tmobile for 6 years and have only used 1 upgrade ever! And there are 5 people on my account! So I am definitely due for some 'sweet' service from them! I would think... at least...
