I have an 89 Toyota Corolla. Last night I got home, shut off my lights, turned the car off and got out only to find out my headlights were off but the tail lights were stuck on. The only way to get them to go off was to take out the fuse. So I went inside and started to do some research. I found it could be the brake light switch but to turn on the lights and step on the brakes to see if there is a difference in the brightness of the lights. There is not. I plan to go get a brake light switch tomorrow and change it out but before I do so, can anyone tell me if this should cure it or what else I should try?
