hey i just bought a 1989 jeep cheroke laredo. it has power windows and when i bought it the drivers window didnt work. it wasnt hooked up because i could move it with my hand up and down. but when i pushed the button it still made the sound of the window going up. so i took off the door pannel and looked inside and the glass wasnt hooked up to thing, i thought that was the problem but while i tried pushing the button to make the window go up the track thing didnt even move. it stayed there, so even if i bolted the window back to the track thingy it still wouldnt work. does this mean the motor works and that i just need to WD40 the track? or is it screwed?
ya the track goes up to the top then curves over to the motor, the window gets bolted to the metal plate and the metal plate is at the bottom right now. so it might be broken somewhere? or can i try and grease it up
