A friend of mine had an 89 civic, had just barely over 100k miles on it. i guess she didnt do an oil change and her camshaft broke. i had to help rescue her and try to resuscitate the car to no avail ( i am mechanically savy) i havent ever worked on a honda before (ford man). What would it take to replace the camshaft? will the valves or other internals be damaged? she offered to give it to me for free rather than scrapyard
