89' ford taures. Transmission or flywheel ??? please help?

My 89' ford taures runs great, but it has been slipping a little from first to second. yesterday it went out completely. when I turn it on it is fine. When I put it in reverse I feel it shift, but it won't go. when I put it in overdrive I feel it shift, but it wont go. Is it the whole transmission, or is it the flywheel. If you think it could be something else let me know too. thanks
