89 ford bronco with 460?

ok ive got this 89 bronco with a 460 c6 205 dana 60 rear and dana44 front, my problem is i cant get her to crank at all, full battery charged up, but when i reattach the battery post the dash lights come on then within 2 Min's i go and try to start the truck and i get nothing not even a half a crank over, i just replaced the lock tumbler cuz it used to start but wouldn't shut off now this is happening, i was wondering could it be the starter solenoid? it has brand new starter and carb with Electric choke, and plenty of gas, lol but i really don't know where to start looking and how to test certain parts if they work, any ideas at all would be really helpful, ill be checking this often so please and thank you for your help, thanks again, scott
 
First, make sure all of your battery connections are clean and tight and the chassis and block has a good, solid ground.
Have someone put a test light or volt meter on the starter terminal while you turn the key to the crank position - if it's got 12 volts, you need a starter. If it doesn't, move on back to the starter solenoid and simply check for where the voltage is being lost (solenoid, neutral switch, ignition switch, etc)
