8830 won't be on Rogers. the xx30s are the GPS/WiFI phones and RIM makes those for use with CDMA networks. I mean, you could theoretically put your Rogers SIM into an unlocked 8830 but you'll be using GPRS because the phone isn't made for use with EDGE.
Anyway....as for the "sillies" like me...what is the big difference between Wifi and Edge and 3G....I mean, as long as you have signal you have internet....right?
There is always so much talk about WiFi and BB. So far every single phone release since just before the Pearl has been rumored to have WiFi. I vote that everyone stops talking about the WiFi BB's since they don't exist on the market right now. All of the rumors have been deflated thus far. Until I see a press release from RIM outlining a new WiFi phone I'm going to boycott the rumor posts.lol
xx30 are CDMA devices and will not be in europe.. they are dual mode as stated above but will not support the north american gsm frequencies.
im pretty sure you meant 8310 and 8320 (curve series) .. rogers has the 8310 now.. probably wont relase the 8320 though.. dont see wifi in their near future. but you can buy one unlocked from another carrier and throw your rogers sim into it.
