...you'd do.? I have an 88 chevy silverado, and it's gettin really tired and worn out. I wanted to save up and stick a new engine and tranny in it and fix up the body and all that good stuff. Now just taking out a loan for a newer, probably mid to late 90's, truck in good condition is sounding much better than fixing mine. Now it's kind of between a half ton, cause of power and being able to haul a decent load, and a compact truck like an s-10, little better milage and smaller, but yet not the room and power like a half ton. But it has to be 4 wheel drive, that's a must for what I do. The trucks I'm really looking at are chevy silverado's and s-10's(I've always been a chevy guy;)), and dodge ram's and dakota's. Don't wanna be rude, but I won't drive a ford, from personal experience and naturally chevy guys don't clash with fords. Please tell me what you'd go with and why, and even if you've had experience with one of these trucks before. I just can't make up my mind!lol. Thank you for the help!!

wel lim a ford guy my self just knowing after 40 yrs of driving hard they hold up longer but i do like chevy trucks for the way they drive i wouldnt get a four wheel drive unless your wanting to get off road in some wild places most of which is what they made for suck more gas s10 id had a few all was great put a lot of miles in one was great litle truck but you right didnt have the power of a v8 which silverado does id stick with that man an dreally i wouldnt never buy a dodge thro ive had a couple both was tough but they was wore out long before any of my chevys ford cars or nissan are touch to beat ford trucks do run great but lack in ride over chevy and im a ford guy
