8700 or 9900? Open to suggestions.

I want a phone that is blends a good amount of style and functionality. Ive been looking at the LG 8700 and the LG 9900. The phone is the most important to me, then durability, then texting and camera. Also, mp3's would be nice. I live just south of the D.C metro area, so vzw coverage is a given (parents have it). But outside of verizon,, ill look at the iPhone as a distant possibility (as long as coverage is good/excellent in the area, anyone?) Also, i would like to know about Sprints coverage? The SERO Q seems like a steal. Thanks!

P.S: On vzw i could latch onto a family plan for $20 (text/voice).

P.S.I.I.: I just came off of Amp'd, i dont want a restricitve nazi phone.
 
I would personally say get the 9900 based on experience. My gf recently got an 8700 and had nothing but problems. The number one complaint was the battery life, which was pathetic at best. She had quite a few different problems that really turned her off to the phone. For right now, she returned the phone to get her NE2 back, but will most likely get the 9900 in the next few weeks.
