Starter will turn the engine but no starty. Sprayed starter in carb, noffing...
History: Same thing was going on a week ago. Replaced starter contacts, removed and cleaned obvious deposits from carb (not in depth at all, just removed and scraped some black stuff off a valve), and timed the engine. Finally got ignition when we replaced the spark plugs and distributor arm off a tip from a wandering ascetic automotive guru. (Verified vacuum from the distributor hoses during following timing adjustments. No leaky.) Ran a week, got it home last night, tried to leave tonight and while it turns, there's no ignition even with a jump from a diesel. Who knows? Maybe you do?
