it was parked in my field about 5 years ago and hasn't been moved since. it was in excellent running condition when it was put over there. can it be fixed and driven again? what possible problems may it have from being in a field (VERY snowy winters)? thanks.
the mice were def living in the trunk. the oil is black.
its my pepe's car and i want to drive it again. he loved that car and so do i.
btw, i already own it. should have mentioned that. go the title and everything.

its junk....and dont let anyone tell you different...you could easily spend 2 or 3 K and still have a non good running car..the list of things you need to fix will be endless....
want to remember pepe? look for a running 87 toyota...

to get it running start with some carb spray and spray down the carb inside and out and then unhook the fuel line going to the carb get a set of jumper cables and jump the battery poor some new gas into the hole on top of the carb then try to start it if it doesn't start then its not getting spark then you have to test the coil distributor spark plugs and wires the easiest way to do that is to buy an in line spark tester. if all of the electrical works and you have gas in the carb it should start but to make it rode worthy you have to change oil anti freeze and gas in the tank and hook up the fuel line to the carb worst case scenario is you will have to rebuild the carb and get a new coil

The mice probably stunk it up. If the grass was growing around and under it, it will be rusty. Change fuel, battery, check oil and water.

The fuel system is going to be your biggest challenge.
Old gas gums up eveything.
Injectors, fuel lines, filters, pump.....

If you can get it to run after flushing the fuel system, the rest is cake.

Flush the brake lines, and change the engine oil.

Try to get it started right where it sits.
Borrow a battery, and buy a can of starting fluid.
If it starts, buy it for $100. and have it towed to your house.
Buy a repair manual for $20. And get started on your new project.

reason it was park and sure maybe ive gotten a few out of old farm yards and fix up to drive again but one really never knows about what it might take so you woul dhave to really love that car over one that is running now since it might cost you more to fix that one than you could buy one newer that is running if you really want it offer them 50 bucks might put 1000 into it and it wil be worth about 500 if you want to sale it

The real question is why? 22 years old and sitting in a field = severe rust under the car, siezed brakes, tires that are to old and lord only knows what else is shot. shoot it or scrap it
