What 8600 are we talking about? Qtek, Nokia, Audiovox or LG? (granted I'd get the iPhone over any of those).

Or is there an 8600 I've forgotten about?

8600 Luna? Its purely looks. Iphone has alot more features. 8600 is a status symbol.

Also think about size. Do you want a tall, wide, and thin phone or something more compact.

And if storage is important don't go for the 8600.

iPhone is Cingular only. Not sure if you can unlock it for T-Mo. Definitely won't run on Nextel
