8600 & Bitpim. Any success?

[Who Am I Now?]

I have a 8600 with Bell Mobility and a DIC-1100 data cable. Using bitpim 7.2 I can't seem to access any data from the filesystem.
Does anyone have any success? Almost all info I find is for Verizon users only.
